Speaker cables: Refining sound quality

Some of the latest speaker cables are made up of 2 electrical conductors. They are same electrically but are recognized by the wire colour or a ridge on the insulation of 1 wire or a thread in cable to effortlessly discover the correct polarity. They are mainly used to connect the loudspeakers and audio amplifiers. Identical to other linear electrical parts, these cables too have 3 components namely capacitance, resistance and inductance that decide its performance. The speaker cable is said to be perfect if there is absence of capacitance, resistance and inductance. They are also short in length due to the fact that when length is short, resistance too will decrease. So, performance of these cables largely depends on the resistance. Capacitance and inductance roles are smaller as compared to the loudspeaker.
Speaker cables can be used for personal use only if its resistance is set below 5% of the speaker’s capacity. Speaker cables are available in wide varieties but to determine its quality, you have to see its construction, price, expediency and also it will depend upon your requirements. One should select the speaker cables intelligently as sound quality depends largely on them. The medium of transfer plays an important role in digital media. If there is some loss or interruption in medium, it can have adversely effect the audio quality. For wonderful home theatre experience, rely on high quality speaker cable as it will be compatible with your speaker system or home theatre system.
